Enugu ADC Rallies Behind New National Leadership, Declares Total Allegiance and 2027 Takeover Agenda

The African Democratic Congress (ADC), Enugu State Chapter, has thrown its full weight behind the newly inaugurated national leadership of the party, pledging absolute allegiance while setting its sights firmly on taking over governance in Enugu State come 2027.

In a comprehensive statement signed by the State Publicity Secretary, Hon. David C. Ani, the Enugu ADC described the emergence of the new executives as a turning point not only for the party but for Nigeria’s democratic future. According to the chapter, the leadership renewal at the national level signals a clear departure from the politics of division, stagnation, and failed promises that have defined the country in recent years.

The Enugu ADC expressed particular pride in the appointment of Princess Nneka Nebo, daughter of the state, as the new National Auditor of the ADC. Her emergence, the party noted, is a matter of great joy for the people of Enugu, who now have one of their own occupying a key position in the national leadership of the party. The statement affirmed confidence that her role will bring honor, integrity, and effective representation, ensuring that the voices of Enugu resonate strongly in national affairs.

Beyond the pride of Enugu, the ADC extended congratulations to the National Chairman, Senator David Mark, the National Secretary, His Excellency Rauf Aregbesola, and other members of the newly elected national executives. Their coming together, according to the Enugu chapter, embodies the unity of purpose required to reposition Nigeria on a path of justice, accountability, and people-centered governance. The chapter stressed that this team of leaders is expected to inspire a new wave of political consciousness and national redemption that Nigerians have long yearned for.

The statement also made clear that the ADC in Enugu is not merely celebrating leadership change but is already preparing for the monumental political task ahead. Declaring its intent to reclaim the political space in Enugu State, the party reaffirmed its determination to contest vigorously in 2027. The Enugu ADC emphasized that the people of the state have endured governance that neglects their aspirations, adding that they now demand a leadership committed to transparency, fairness, and genuine development.

While addressing the broader national picture, the Enugu ADC condemned the ruling party in strong terms, accusing it of dragging Nigeria into economic collapse, worsening insecurity, and inflicting unbearable hardship on citizens. The statement described the ruling party as “an international terrorist organization in disguise,” charging that it has presided over one of the darkest eras in Nigeria’s political history. The ADC insisted that Nigerians deserve better and assured that only its ideology of transparency, justice, and unity can rescue the nation from further decline.

The party went further to call on citizens, particularly in Enugu, to take proactive steps ahead of the 2027 elections. It urged every eligible voter to secure a Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC), stressing that the responsibility of building a new Nigeria rests squarely in the hands of the people. The Enugu ADC reminded citizens that the ballot box remains the most powerful weapon of change, and that true transformation will come only if the people are ready to stand up and demand accountability by voting for credible alternatives.

Concluding, the Enugu ADC reassured the national leadership and Nigerians at large that it will remain steadfast in pursuing the broader vision of the ADC. The statement reiterated the party’s commitment to building a Nigeria where equity, justice, and prosperity are not empty promises but realities accessible to all. It vowed to work relentlessly, aligning local efforts in Enugu with national goals, until the dream of a better Nigeria becomes a lived experience for every citizen.
