_Lagos Father on the Run: Kadiri Yusuf Wanted for Brutalizing 11-Year-Old Daughter and 13-Year-Old Son_

A disturbing case of child abuse has shaken the community in Agege, Lagos, after a father, Kadiri Yusuf, allegedly brutally beat his two children, leaving them with severe injuries. The suspect is now on the run, with the police working tirelessly to apprehend him.

According to SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the police spokesperson in Lagos State, the incident occurred on Friday at 5:00 p.m. when Yusuf assaulted his 11-year-old daughter and 13-year-old son. The police were alerted by a concerned member of the public, specifically the head teacher of a primary school in Orile Agege, who reported that one of her pupils had been beaten by her father.

The head teacher's timely report led to swift police action. "The head teacher reported at Elere Division that one of her pupils, a female, 11, reported to her that her father beat her and her elder brother, 13, causing them bodily injury," Hundeyin explained.

The police promptly responded to the report and retrieved the victims, providing them with medical treatment before handing them over to their mother's sister for safe custody. The authorities are now working to track down Yusuf, with efforts to apprehend him in full gear.

The incident highlights the growing concern of child abuse in Nigeria, where parents, who are supposed to be guardians and protectors, inflict harm on their children. Unfortunately, this is not an isolated case, as there have been previous reports of parents brutalizing their children in Lagos.

The police are urging anyone with information about Yusuf's whereabouts to come forward. As the investigation continues, the community remains in shock, calling for justice to be served.

On Friday, at approximately 5:00 p.m., the alleged assault took place in the Agege area of Lagos. The victims, aged 11 and 13, suffered bodily injuries. The police were notified shortly after, and swift action was taken.

The Lagos State Police Command is working diligently to ensure that Yusuf faces justice. "Efforts to apprehend the fleeing father are in top gear," Hundeyin assured.

This case serves as a stark reminder of the need for increased awareness and action against child abuse in Nigeria. The authorities must work tirelessly to ensure that justice is served, and measures are put in place to prevent such incidents from occurring in the future.

The Nigerian government has implemented various initiatives aimed at combating child abuse, including the Child Rights Act. However, more needs to be done to address the root causes of this issue and protect vulnerable children.
