BREAKING: OK Movement Raises Alarm Over Infiltration Plot, Warns Public Against Unauthorized Meeting

The leadership of the Obi–Kwankwaso (OK) Movement Enugu State Chapter has issued a strong public warning distancing itself from what it described as an unauthorized and suspicious meeting allegedly convened by Hon. Mrs. Ngozi Ugwu, while raising concerns over what it called attempts by political detractors and infiltrators to create confusion within the movement ahead of Nigeria’s 2027 political landscape.

In a strongly worded disclaimer and public notice released by the movement, the leadership cautioned members of the public, supporters, and stakeholders to ignore a circular currently in circulation inviting people to a meeting scheduled for Tuesday, May 27, 2026, at Dragon Bar, 82 Division, Abakpa.

According to the statement, the meeting neither originated from nor received approval from the officially recognized leadership of the movement, describing it as an unauthorized gathering capable of misleading unsuspecting supporters.

The movement stressed that there is only one recognized leadership structure within the organization, headed by Ozo Victor Onyia, and warned that any individual or group attempting to establish parallel structures or parade themselves as executives is acting outside the movement's constitutional framework.

The statement further that recent developments point toward coordinated attempts by certain individuals and external political interests determined to sow division and derail the movement's mission.

"The public should understand that this movement remains focused and undistracted. We are not unaware of activities by persons acting as infiltrators and agents of distraction whose objective is to destabilize our structure and weaken our resolve," the statement noted.

The leadership warned what it described as “government-sponsored political distractors” and agents working for the ruling party to desist from any actions capable of undermining the integrity and vision of the movement.

Without making direct accusations backed by independent evidence, the organization stated that certain actors are desperate to create unnecessary tension and internal confusion as the movement continues its political mobilization efforts.

According to the OK Movement, no amount of distraction, propaganda, or political interference would derail its objective of contributing to the emergence of a leadership capable of delivering what it described as "the New Nigeria of our dreams" in 2027.

The movement emphasized that its focus remains on building a credible political structure and sustaining grassroots engagement across the country.

"We remain united, focused, committed and resolute in our mission. Our attention is fixed on delivering a leadership that will restore hope and create the Nigeria citizens have long desired. We refuse to be distracted by individuals whose mission is division and confusion," the statement added.

The organization also issued a stern warning to Hon. Mrs. Ngozi Ugwu and all individuals connected with organizing or promoting the gathering, urging them to immediately discontinue activities capable of misleading members of the movement and the general public.

It warned that failure to desist could attract legal consequences under existing laws.

In a move aimed at elevating the seriousness of the matter, the OK Movement disclosed that relevant security institutions, including the Nigeria Police Force and the Department of State Services, have been copied in formal communications regarding the development and urged security authorities to take note of emerging events.

The leadership said security agencies should remain vigilant and monitor any activities capable of threatening public order or being used to deceive citizens under the guise of movement activities.

Political observers note that with growing conversations around the 2027 elections, several political groups and movements are beginning to witness internal tensions and competing interests. However, the OK Movement insists that its structures remain intact and that members should only rely on verified communications released through officially recognized channels.

The movement concluded by reaffirming its commitment to good governance, national development, and citizen-driven leadership, while urging supporters across the country to remain calm, united, and focused on its broader vision.
